Who's Using Roadpost
Eric Larsen
Modern-day explorer and expedition guide
Eric Larsen's life epitomizes adventure. A polar adventurer, dog musher
and educator, he has spent the past 15 years of his life traveling in some of
the most remote and wild places left on earth.
During his last expedition, his third visit to the
Antarctica in the past four years, Eric used an
Iridium rental phone from Roadpost for safety and to stay connected
with the 'Big Earth'. This is what Eric had to say about Roadpost on his
Facebook wall "It's a great company with great people!”.
As a Polar guide, he lead a variety of trips: a week at a
remote Emperor Penguin colony, a 'last degree' ski South Pole expedition,
several short climbs to the peaks surrounding ANI's Union Glacier Base Camp and
even a stint at a remote ski way to monitor weather.
FISHTV
North America's premier fishing and destination show is now
using Roadpost. Hosted by Leo Stakos and Ron James,
FISHTV is for anyone who enjoys fishing and the outdoors. FISHTV can be
found on many different networks, including Rogers Sportsnet, Global TV, TV
Tropolis, OLN, Wild TV and WFN.
Leo and Ron last used Roadpost for a fishing expedition in
the Amazon in search of the giant Peacock Bass. They enjoyed the beautiful
scenery in the Amazon and used an Iridium sat phone
and inReach to stay in touch with
their thousands of fans.
OVERT
The Ontario Volunteer Emergency
Response Team (OVERT) Inc. is a unique concept in community based
emergency response, providing timely assistance during a major incident.
OVERT’s ability to adapt to different situations provides
its partnered agencies with a valuable resource without adding logistic or
financial burden.
On a recent mission to Attawapiksa, OVERT stayed in touch
using satellite phones from Roadpost. OVERT posted a
nice "thank you" to Roadpost message on their Facebook wall.

George
Kourounis
Television celebrity and renowned storm chaser George Kourounis, host of
Angry Planet on Outdoor Life Network (OLN).
"Filming Angry Planet, I explore the most remote lands and ride out some of the
worst weather on Earth. With these extremes, the only way I can guarantee
communications with the outside world is through my Roadpost satellite
phone. No matter where I am I can always get through when I need to!"
Storm Chaser George Kourounis, uses
Roadpost satellite services when filming his popular television series for the
Outdoor Life Network (OLN).
